Business Developer for Real Estate Investment Organization

Lucas Group has been retained by an innovative and reputable Private money lending company that focuses on the real estate/ development industry. They are a leader in providing funding for Flippers, developers and investors in the real estate market.


Our client has a steady 10 year track record of continued growth and this position is being added due to that growth. They started in Colorado and now have expanded their business in to 3 states. They will continue to grow in to other areas and this person will lead that charge after successfully building the primary market they are assigned. The company is a very collaborative, team oriented organization. They have a lot of long term employees who are professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of something special in helping this company continue to grow in this much needed market of real estate capital funding.


In this role you have the opportunity to achieve personal and team goals while building a team to lead as you develop new markets. Once a market is established, you will be hiring someone to maintain it while you head off to develop another territory. You will a lot of support to accomplish this through the following:

  • Actively participate with president of company in strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key industry connections and potential clients.
  • Prepare and present sales/educational presentations for those potential clients
  • Contribute to growth and company strategy with senior management team
  • Be responsible for developing clientele in new markets to expand business opportunities.
  • Will travel in to new markets – once or twice a month to deliver those presentations and attend industry functions as needed.


  • Associates Degree in business, real estate or related area of study.
  • 5 years sales experience with at least 2 of those in Real Estate, financing or investing. B2B experience is huge
  • Management experience is a big plus as you will be building a team that you will be leading as business grows.
  • Experience delivering confident presentations and communications with Executive leadership teams, boards of directors and business owners.
  • Personal initiative, self-motivated and entrepreneurial mind set.
  • Flexible, adaptable nature for a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Demonstrated history of taking initiative, creating results and learning continuously.


Based at the corporate office in the Greater Denver Area– will initially start covering the Wisconsin territory as that is the area where they are focusing current efforts.


  • Base Salary + Percentage of new business brought in.
