Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will develop a sales strategy to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.  The Business Development Manager will manage a team of Business Development Representatives to contact potential clients in order to increase sales. 

Job Duties:

  • Manage Business Development Representatives Team with a focus both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conducts research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • Promotes the company products/services while predicting client needs.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager.
  • Technical competence (understand software, hardware, etc.).
  • Motivated, goal oriented, and solution focused.
  • High level of initiative and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures.
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction.
