Job Description

Lucas group is partnering with one of Denver’s leading asset management firms, in their search for a Controller. This is a multi-faceted role that will be an integral leader and executer of the Accounting & Finance functions for the company. This role will work closely with the CEO and be responsible of a multitude of Accounting & Finance duties including, internal controls, credit and cash management, budgeting, as well as analysis of sales data, assets and fund performances. In addition the candidate will run all facets of the corporate accounting department and assist in the planning and execution of audit and income tax preparation. The Controller is responsible for the overall financial reporting, financial compliance, and protection of corporate and owner assets. The Controller will also be the administrator for Payroll, HR and Benefits.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, or related field. MBA or other Master’s Degree is a plus. CPA highly desired
  • 10 years of related experience in accounting and finance leadership with successful and progressive experience in managing people in small/entrepreneurial based environment
  • Significant experience in Accounting and controls
  • Advanced MS office, especially MS Word and MS Excel
  • QuickBooks knowledge preferred
