Job Description

The Lucas Group is searching for a talented and enthusiastic Director, e-Commerce Sales to add as a key member of our client’s team. The Director, E-Commerce Sales is responsible for managing all aspects of our online sales and Direct-to-Consumer business in order to maximize the sales and profit growth. This includes overall strategic planning, key account management, managing content strategies and digital sales campaigns, search engine optimization and marketing, web site design and development, E-Commerce Platforms/Infrastructure Analytics, E-Commerce Financials/P&L and sales reporting.


  • Primary point of contact within e-Commerce and performs the role of project manager who evaluates, prioritizes, develops, manages and implements E-Commerce Initiatives.
  • Optimize online content to increase traffic and improve SEO by developing KPI that will track website performance, customer feedback and related data to identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, increase item rankings, and drive revenue growth.
  • Manage relationships to ensure expectations are being met as it relates to product launches, marketing campaigns, inventory management and ongoing account management which includes onboarding new ecommerce trading partners.
  • Responsible for uploading new items, adding enhanced content, creation of variation listings and deletion of non-performers.
  • Develop and implement an overall online sales strategy which supports growth and profitability across sales channels including B2C, B2B, marketplaces, and our website.
  • Ensure ROI on digital marketing campaigns from PPC and other account / channel specific marketing efforts. Serve as point person in tracking feature performance. Monitor feature/ad orders to ensure that shipments are timely and supportive.
  • Collaboratively develop our E-Commerce technology and infrastructure strategy and to include hardware/software, vendor support, ERP integrations and shopping cart platforms and direct connections to our websites, direct accounts, and 3rd party marketplaces.
  • Assist with warehouse operations and systems integrations with our shopping cart platform, shipping management software, ERP system, and warehouse integrations. Partner with operations and finance to set standards and minimize chargebacks.
  • Work with our marketing team on the development of product images, video assets and enhanced online content for use in our digital campaigns and product listings.


• BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or a related field is required. Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience working in a similar role in e-Commerce Sales or various forms of Digital Commerce (i.e. Amazon selling experience)
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience using e-Commerce technologies and digital marketing platforms, shopping cart systems, ERP, content optimization, SEO, SEM and reporting.
  • Experience with Vendor Central, AMS, Seller Central and Google Ad Words.
  • Proficient use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative detail-oriented problem solver who can adapt to changing markets and trends.
  • Communicate clearly and authoritatively both verbally and in written format.
  • Experience with Channel Advisor, Ecomdash, Commerce Hub and/or Access Database
