Job Description

Lucas Group has partnered with a highly successful global firm in the search for a Director of Strategic Workforce Planning for North America. This role will have a large focus on aligning existing staff to the future strategic needs (1-3 years) and current operational needs (1-12 months) of the business. Importantly, this function also aligns individual employee development and experience needs as part of the people strategy. This role can be located in any of the firms US offices. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, able to collaborate at C-Suite level within an organization. This role will require excellent change leadership skills, used to bring about the adoption of Strategic Workforce and other associated change management programs to support the business. Strong judgment and acumen in identifying and prioritizing business needs as well as extensive knowledge of Strategic and Operational Workforce Planning practices as well as tie-ins to Talent Acquisition and Learning and Development will define a successful candidate.



Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or greater.
  • Significant professional experience (10 years or more) the majority of which should be based in a strategic workforce planning function.
  • Experience leading major projects and change programs which impact an entire organization.
  • Experience of managing relationships at all levels
  • Effective track record of deployment optimization in a large organization.
  • Experience in overall Talent Optimization.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads a functional team of people responsible for organizational capacity; setting all objectives, and continuously reviewing individual and team performance.
  • Leads in the development and implementation of the Oracle based Resource Management system.
  • Ensures that all staff have the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to deliver the objectives on behalf of each business unit requirements.
  • Identifies strategic business needs, issues and business drivers and recommends process and system improvements to enhance overall people performance.
  • Works with sector leadership on organizational development.
  • Actively collaborates with leadership at the highest levels across all Business Lines, delivering specialist workforce planning guidance and enables the implementation of Workforce Planning projects and change initiatives (e.g. Org Design/shaping).
  • Relationship management with multiple stakeholders and internal clients as the escalation point for resolving strategic resourcing conflicts across the business.
