Job Description

Lucas Group has partnered with a manufacturing organization to search for their next HR Manager.  This individual will be the sole HR person for this facility and will be leading the entire HR function. He/She will need to be a well-rounded generalist out of a similar industry with hourly workforce experience. This individual will need to see the gray between the black and white. This organization has made strong efforts to strengthen their relationships with hourly workforce and this HR Manager will be nurturing these relationships.



Experience Requirements:

  • Manufacturing/Blue Collar experience a must
  • Out of a small to mid-size company
  • 8+ years’ experience in a generalist capacity


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and input time for payroll.
  • Submit to ADP for processing.
  • Will oversee both weekly and bi-weekly payrolls
  • Complete ownership of the recruiting process. Ensure that the onboarding process is smooth and conveys the company culture to new hires
  • Oversee benefit, using an outside firm
  • Act as the right hand to the CEO. Be able to guide him and be a sound board to him. This role is truly a partnership with him, something that many people want and will never have.
  • Plan company functions – specifically the annual company picnic and Christmas party
  • Handle all employee relation issues with confidentiality
  • Manage with ethics and a strong knowledge of the HR function. Their current HR Manager crossed a line and has agreed to part ways with the company. They need someone who understands the important of HR in upholding ethical standards and creating trust.
