Job Description

Our client, a market leader in providing technology-enabled behavioral health care is in need of a Jr. Data Analyst for their New York City location.  Our client specialized for treating patients via structured therapy programs, analytics, coupled with multi-channel engagement platform, identify and engage members with unmet, often un-diagnosed, behavioral health needs.  

The Data & Analytics team plays a central role in handling the company’s and their clients’ data, monitoring and improving the efficiency of operations, and interfacing with virtually every team in the company. As an analyst on the team, you would play an integral role in extracting actionable insights from the data.

As a Data Analyst  you will work in a uniquely cross-functional capacity, helping teams across the organization apply analytical rigor to their decision-making.  The role will entail:

 Running analyses on large claims datasets and summarizing results

  • Producing data-driven reports for clients that demonstrate how the program is helping clients manage their patient populations
  • Serving as primary liaison for the Data team with Account Management and Client Development team for client reporting and new client opportunity analytics
  • Supporting critical function of maintaining data ingestion processes that drive key business growth processes
  • Playing a key role as a team member supporting both Business Intelligence and Data Science initiatives
  • Highly skilled in SQL (experience with Google BigQuery a plus)
  • 1-2 years programming experience, Python or R preferred
  • Experience extracting and communicating insights from large datasets across disparate sources
  • Experience wrangling, cleaning, and  visualizing data
  • Experience with health claims data a major plus
  • Experience using a BI tool such as Looker or Tableau a plus

Education / Experience

  • 1-2 years relevant work experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Quantitative Discipline, Mathematics, Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or equivalent years of experience required
