Job Description

Lucas Group has partnered with a $700M specialized, consumer product brand who is looking for a National Sales Manager to lead and manage the National Account Sales Team, inside sales and programs. As the National Sales Manager you will also be responsible for creating growth strategies and overseeing the sales efforts across 4 channels of national accounts: 1.) Single Family Homebuilders, 2.) Multi-Family new construction and retrofit 3.) Retail (DIY Channel & Sears) and 4.) Direct Business.

Reports to: Vice President of Sales



Education Requirements:

BA/BS Degree with 10+ years’ experience or Master’s Degree with 8+ years’ experience



Experience Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the U.S. Home builder segment and recent experience in the Top 50 builder segment
  • Previous success managing an outside sales team selling to homebuilders
  • Ability to understand a more technical product line and communicate effectively to key partners and customers
  • Relocation to Indianapolis, IN
  • Ability to travel 60% domestically by flight
  • Strong problem solving skills and coaching skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once with strong attention to detail


Responsibilities:

  • Management of National Account Sales Team (10-15 person), Inside Sales & Programs
  • Communicating a cohesive strategy internally to ensure alignment with finance, marketing, pricing and product teams
  • Player/Coach role, ability to build consultative relationships with partners and customers
  • Coach national account sales team on how to improve their relationships with their customers
  • Develop and execute sales & marketing strategy to better connect with customers
  • Communicate strategy effectively to distribution partner to ensure growth
  • Deliver technical knowledge and presentations about product line
  • Monitor trends in the home builders and retail marketplace to maintain the best strategic approach
