Our client, a Fortune 500 health care and medical device company, is searching for a Project Manager to work within their R&D department. We are seeking a Project Manager with previous industry experience leading projects from inception through launch. This is a role that supports around 30 global locations and a wide diversity of products. The Project Manager must be someone who is good with prioritizing their work and also has substantial experience managing the product life cycle.

Project Manager (Surgery Devices) Responsibilities

  • The Project Manager will be responsible for business and technical project management for products like surgery products, parenteral nutrition, anesthetics, IV solutions, infusion systems, and pharmacy tools.
  • Provide cross-functional activity leadership to deliver the project.
  • Facilitate the defining of the project scope, project milestones, and potential risks.
  • Manage the project costs.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders involved. This includes updates on the project’s progress, risks, and financial costs.
  • Resolve issues related to the project that involve the technical aspects or the employees working on the assignment.

Project Manager (Surgery Devices) Requirements

  • B.S. degree in a technical or related field.
  • At least 8+ years of experience with the product development lifecycle.
  • At least 5+ years of experience managing technical projects including product launches.
  • Must have experience with medical device development, 21CFR 820.30 and ISO 13485 at a minimum
  • Understanding of ISO 14971 Risk Management
  •  A PMI (PMP) or IPMA project management certification is desired but not required.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
