Our client is a multi-billion dollar global leader in packaging and containers. We are exclusively retained on a Senior Vice President of Procurement & Logistics for North America to work out of their office in the Chicago, IL metro area.

Senior Vice President of Procurement & Logistics for North America Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Logistics & Procurement teams throughout North America.
  • Build cohesion and leverage global category strategies along with procurement & logistics plans to all North American plants, distribution centers, and warehouses.
  • Manage supplier relationships throughout the region.
  • Drive understanding of the market to ensure Procurement team establishes best practices for procurement within their categories and regions.
  • Develop the strategies to be carried out by each team to ensure the highest quality to meet internal & external demands while delivering cost savings.
  • Establish and deliver KPIs for respective categories.
  • Promote the strategic direction for logistics create a long-term strategy and objectives.
  • Oversee forecasting processes to understand future trends in spend activity.
  • Management of the Procurement & Logistics teams (approximately 30 in total).
  • Work with the Logistics team to optimize the logistics network by identifying key providers and negotiating contracts to deliver cost savings while maintaining service levels.
  • Interact with other internal company leadership, suppliers, and customers.

Senior Vice President of Procurement & Logistics for North America Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree is required. Any advanced degree or relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience managing logistics and procurement in a multinational corporation ($2B in revenue or greater).
  • At least 10 years of experience in management of logistics and procurement functions.
  • Previous experience of reporting to a Chief Procurement Officer or being 2nd in command of the Logistics & Procurement in a large organization is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% as needed.
