The position is directly responsible and dedicated to the overall project execution to include monitoring project, project specific schedules, work assignments, scopes and reports to the Engineering Manager.

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Working knowledge of 3D structural modeling software. (SDS2/Tekla Required)
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills (Team Player)
  • Excellent Technical Skills
  • Must have customer oriented approach to business situations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Construction Science)
  • Experience as a Detailer (Drawings Checker) and Project Manager preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary interface with customer during the engineering phase of the project.
  • Provides Initial Contract review, detailing, or job set-up for outside detailing groups and project coordination.
  • Develop project schedule and forecasts for plant master schedule.
  • Maintains oversight of buyout products as required.
  • Resolves issues or involves appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Reviews contract additions and deletions. Provides or coordinates scope changes to detailing groups and sales.
  • Develops or manages requests for information.
  • Checks project status upon receipt of changes and evaluates impact.
  • Monitors job schedules and provides forecasting input.
  • Responsible for coordinating surveillance inspections with customers.
  • Coordinates necessary drawings and model requirements with customer.
  • Pre-emptive jobsite visits.
  • Attend project kick-off meetings as required.
