Job Description

Technical Sales Rep / Territory Manager

(Fragrance Ingredients Business to Business Sales)

Territory: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, western Kansas, Arkansas, and parts of Alabama

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop new business opportunities in new markets while servicing existing business
  • Meet established annual sales goals
  • Use strategic analysis to determine potential profit and costs associated with each opportunity
  • Collaborate on pricing parameters for new products with customers
  • Identify customer needs; present and offer creative, value-added solutions
  • Maintain awareness of industry and fragrance trends
  • Develop a working knowledge of company’s product lines
  • Responsible for managing adequate call coverage for the geographic territory
  • Report sales activity and customer information using company CRM
  • Must be located in close proximity to a hub airport within their sales territory, working out of a fully equipped home office
  • The Technical Sales Rep will build long-term relationships with clients, along with supporting clients in their endeavors to create new fragrances, helping them utilize our products effectively, and offering customized solutions
  • The Technical Sales Rep will perform other duties as required

Knowledge Skills And Abilities Required:

  • This position requires at least three years selling experience in fragrances B2B. A technical degree in the sciences is preferred, as well as experience selling technical products.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and a persuasiveness to negotiate and close sales are required.
  • The candidate must have a strong enthusiastic positive attitude and exceptional creativity and innovation.
  • Ability to use Office and customer management software required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Employee must have no allergies to ingredients common in a fragrance lab.
  • Extensive travel is required to meet with customers and attend trade shows.
