Our client is seeking a  UI/UX Designer that will focus on design, modification, development, maintenance and implementation of SharePoint sites and custom web applications utilized throughout their company. You must have experience implementing rich user experience (UX) utilizing SharePoint. Your skills must include creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups. You will be working with cross-functional teams to conceive, design, and validate Web-based user interfaces.



Qualifications:

  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter
  • Portfolio of sample projects highlighting design for web based applications.
  • Knowledge of User Experience (UX) methodologies
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle


Experience Requirements:

At least 4-5 years+  of paid work experience in the following:

  • SharePoint 2010 or 2013 branding
  • SharePoint concepts such as Master pages, Page Layouts, Content Types, Lists, & Libraries
  • SharePoint publishing infrastructure
  • Advanced HTML (XHTML, HTML5), JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, CSS, and Photoshop
  • Responsive design framework
  • Developing User Interface solutions
  • Designing mock-ups and prototypes
  • Using Adobe Creative (or similar) suite of products
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not required


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall User Interface look and feel, as well as the use and functionality of client portal.
  • Design, develop, test, and, configure the SharePoint Websites/pages which include company’s main intranet portal, team sites, external sites and other extranet initiatives.
  • Evaluate existing applications and their UX effectiveness.
  • Illustrate design ideas using prototypes, process flows, mockups, sitemaps, etc.
  • Design graphic user interfaces elements such as menus, tabs, and widgets.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems such as responsiveness.
  • Work with BAs, end-users, and other departments to gather requirements, review prototypes, and support User Acceptance Testing.
  • Develop master pages, page layouts, reusable templates.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new functions and features.
  • Ability to work well with ambiguous or incomplete requirements.
  • Able to multitask while learning new technologies and practices
