Job Description

Lucas Group has an exclusive partnership with a fitness lifestyle concept that is focused on creating a community of fitness enthusiasts by providing inspirational experiences at their large-format lifestyle facilities across the U.S. They are looking to add a VP of Growth Strategy and Development to their executive team in Denver, CO. This person will be key component in the company’s planned growth by developing and overseeing the company’s 5 year and 10 year strategic roadmap and translating it into a plan of action. The VP of Strategy and Development will also oversee new facility development and launch, as well as drive the launch of new business development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the executive leadership team to develop the company’s business strategy and strategic priorities
  • Identify and evaluate new strategic opportunities to create new businesses, products and initiatives
  • Leverages business insights, industry benchmarking and competitive research to identify and define new market penetration and product positioning strategies.
  • Act as a resource and coach across an organization to increase understanding of and alignment to the company’s strategic direction and plan
  • Oversee and implement all facets of the development process including planning, design, entitlement, construction of new facilities.
  • n-depth knowledge of financial and real estate terms and principles with the ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions
  • Review of opportunities in building, design, and technology related to facility operations and experience that supports the company’s growth strategy
  • Research and present data reports of new technology and design opportunities that will supposedly increase the value, speed, cost effectiveness for new development of facilities
  • Look for Joint Venture, M&A, and Partnership opportunities to aggressively grow the company
  • Work cross-functionally with leaders of other departments to ensure strategic business plans are successfully executed.
  • Responsible for New Facility Development and Launch throughout the U.S. .

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • BA or BS degree in Marketing or Business Related, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of related professional experience in strategy, development of new locations
  • 8+ years in management including leading a team and ability to work with senior executives
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in developing corporate strategy, M&A business partnership closing experience and new facility development/construction management or Architecture experience
  • Experience in Management Consulting, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Market Research, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a related field.
  • Experience and interest in Active lifestyle Industry is a plus!
  • Travel required: up to 50%
